About Watchmen Tree
Join the Race to Stop hunger and End Obesity
After running the food pantry for several years, we noticed that we often lacked access to fresh produce or fruits. We started a small community garden to produce more fresh produce for our community, but the results were minimal.
I, Lokus, the founder of Watchmen, embarked on a journey to find a solution. Reflecting on my childhood, I remembered something very important. Growing up poor in Vietnam, with barely enough food to eat, the neighborhood kids and I would explore the neighborhood, woods, and mountains in search of berries, fruits, and yams. That was how we managed to find extra food to satisfy our hunger.
In recent years, I have been looking at our community and the resources available to us. I have been seaching and I believe I have found the answer: I have discovered the Tree of Life. The Tree of Life could make a significant impact on solving world hunger.
The Tree of Life has always been with us. It is a tree that sustains life, combats hunger, and addresses obesity and climate change. It watches over humanity 24/7… I named it the Watchmen Tree.
Now, it is my mission to bring the Watchmen Tree to the world.
- In the United States, 54 million people lack access to healthy food.
- Half of Americans are overweight or obese.
- Globally, 2.3 billion people do not have enough food to eat.
- The Watchmen Tree could replace one-third of the food intake needed for the hungry world
How will the Watchmen Tree help feed 2.3 billion hungry people?
What if I told you that we could get access to:
- An unlimited amount of land to grow the Watchmen Tree—the tree of life.
- An unlimited number of people willing to contribute hundreds or even thousands of pounds of food with minimal effort.
- An unlimited number of self-managed volunteers.
- Unlimited partners in food distribution.
What if I told you there are tens of millions of pounds of fresh food being wasted every day, just waiting for us to take action?
If that were true, would you join me in supporting our mission?
What do we actually do?
- Our work involves identifying and transforming ordinary trees into Watchmen Trees.
- We inspire people to adopt and plant the Watchmen Tree on their own land to combat hunger, end obesity, and green the earth.
- We connect fruit trees in our community with people and food distribution partners.
By adopting the Watchmen Tree, we encourage our community to do more good. This act of kindness gives humanity new hope and shows that there are still good people in this world.
The Watchmen Tree is part of the Watchmen Operations. Watchmen is a not-for-profit organization established in 2017, created to watch over humanity by supporting, protecting, and preserving life. Our mission is to bring peace, end suffering to humanity, and ensure the continuation of life on earth.
